About Benway Records

Steph and Dylan
Dylan & Steph, OnRoundhay, Leeds, 2016

We are a family-run business

We are a music-loving family of three, originally from Leeds, but now living in York. We decided to launch Benway Records to share, collect and ultimately pass on the finest vinyl records.

We have spent years collecting records, crate digging, buying online. Between us we cover most genres, from jazz to metal. Our record shop will happily sell anything from Billie Holiday to Marvin Gaye; King Krule to Tool. The only thing that counts is the quality of the record and whether or not it sounds good.

We understand that buying online can be daunting. It is a bond of trust between the seller and the buyer. That’s why we have a clear grading system for all our records, aim to make no money at all from shipping fees and have a 30 day refund policy. If you change your mind, you can always send us the record back. All our records - new and old - come with a free protective cover.

Bear with us, we are just starting out. Our stock doesn’t yet represent everything we want to achieve, but it will. Watch this space...

Love, Dylan, Steph, and Leon
